SUNY ESF is a leader in environmental science and sustainability, with the Sustainable and Resilient Built Environment Lab (SARBEL) playing a key role in advancing innovative solutions. Led by Dr. Shayan Mirzabeigi, SARBEL focuses on sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and climate resilience. The lab brings together researchers and students to develop cutting-edge technologies and strategies that improve building performance, promote environmental quality, and foster resilient, energy-efficient, and healthy communities. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, SARBEL is driving impactful change in the built environment.
